Why Sunny Start?

Making it Personal

What is your child’s favorite character or toy? Trucks? Fairies? Trains?  Unicorns? Fantastic! I build a lesson plan around each child’s favorite thing during the first month of school. I also want to get to know your child’s strengths & weaknesses.

Supporting Parents

Each day your child will bring home “Ask Me Questions”.  Two to three questions to engage your child after school to help them tell you about what they learned at school.  You are your child’s first & best teacher!

Guiding Children

My focus the first few weeks is to help the children enjoy school.  They will adjust to school routines, expand their vocabulary, and learn school rules. We transition to more academic focus as the weeks go on, but in a fun, engaging way.  There are learning opportunities all around us!
